In a bid to extend relief to people that were hit by hailstorm in Mitooma few months ago, the district yesterday received of 30 tonnes of maize flour and 10tonnes of beans from the office of prime minister and ministry of disaster and preparedness to be distributed to the affected parishes.
This came to following the hailstorm that hit some parishes in Mutara Sub County, Mutara Town council, Nyakizinga Sub County and Kiyanga Sub County in March that forced their leader write for help to the office of prime minister through area members of parliament.
According to Macklin Mutungi Kyamutetera, who represented the Mitooma district woman MP Agasha Juliet Bashisha to deliver the relief at the district Headquarters noted that this relief should be given to those parishes that were affected by the hailstorm.
