Kampala, Uganda | THE BLACK EXAMINER | MK Movement, led by Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the Senior Presidential Advisor on Special Operations, has called for the arrest of individuals using MK-affiliated motor vehicle number plates for criminal activities in Uganda.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), MK Movement Spokesperson Mr. Andrew Mwenda urged the police to take immediate action against those using “MK Movement” initials on their vehicle plates unless they are officially registered.

Mwenda emphasized that the MK Movement condemns anyone who uses its name for criminal activities, such as robbery and intimidation of citizens. He called on the police to apprehend individuals using unregistered “MK Movement” or “MK army” number plates.

Furthermore, Mwenda stated that even individuals with registered MK initials on their plates who engage in criminal activities should be arrested by the police. He made it clear that Gen. Muhoozi and the MK Movement disapprove of such criminal acts, as they contradict the group’s principles, values, and ethics.

Mwenda also stressed that individuals representing the MK Movement should exhibit the group’s core values, which include humility, integrity, moral uprightness, honesty, patriotism, and pan-Africanism. He emphasized that individuals engaged in fraudulent, criminal, or dishonest activities do not represent the movement.

In May of the same year, President Museveni praised Gen. Muhoozi and his supporters in the MK Movement for their efforts to foster unity in the country. He encouraged them to uphold values such as patriotism, pan-Africanism, and democracy in their work towards Uganda’s and Africa’s socio-economic transformation.
