Mob Lynches Suspected Boda Boda Thief in Buhweju

Buhweju District | THE BLACK EXAMINER | Police in Buhweju district is investigating circumstances under which a mob murdered a suspected boda boda thief.

Martial Tumusiime, the greater Bushenyi regional police spokesperson identified the deceased as Oswald Kanyankore, pan cake seller, resident of Kitwe village, Ruhumuro parish Kyabugimbi sub county Bushenyi district.

According to Tumusiime, the gang of boda boda riders from Ryamasa Sheema District on Tuesday at around 7:58pm invaded Burere police station, grabbed the suspect and took him to Kashenyi trading center and assaulted him to coma.

The in-charge of Bureree police station Tarasisio Agaba called in re-enforcement who rescued the suspect and took him to Bureree health center III for treatment where he was referred to KIU hospital Ishaka where he died yesterday.

Tumusiime says no arrests have been made because the suspects after committing the crime went into hiding. He condemned the act of mob justice.
