Nabilatuk District | The Black Examiner – The local police have taken into custody a mother and her daughter on suspicion of fatally beating a family member. The suspects have been identified as 62-year-old Moru Magret and 19-year-old Ilukol Faith, according to Mike Longole, the spokesperson for Mt Moroto regional police.
The incident, which resulted in the death of 28-year-old Lokee Carol, took place in Namerireng cell, Nabilatuk Town Council, Nabilatuk District. It is reported that the suspects, along with unidentified individuals from their village, allegedly committed the crime on Friday at approximately 3 pm.
According to police reports, the duo reportedly tied up the victim with ropes and brutally assaulted her using sticks, accusing her of aimless movements and theft. They later confined her inside one of the rooms at their residence.
Tragically, Lokee Carol was discovered deceased on Saturday around 5 am. The police’s team of investigation officers promptly visited the scene and collected crucial pieces of evidence.
After examining the body of the deceased, authorities handed it over to other relatives for a respectful burial, as per Longole’s statement.
The police have emphasized that the actions of Moru and Ilukol are in violation of the law. As investigations continue, the public is urged to remain calm and cooperative to allow the authorities to complete their inquiries.
