Kasese District | The Black Examiner – Kathasenda village in Kisinga sub-county, Kasese district, is demanding a thorough investigation following the tragic incident where a mother lost her life and her five children were left in critical condition due to suspected food poisoning.
Mr. Sezi Police, the chairperson of the local council three for Munkunyu sub-county, confirmed the distressing event and identified the deceased as Sylvia Muhindo, 46. Last night, Sylvia and her five children consumed supper together before falling ill.
According to Mr. Sezi, the family began experiencing vomiting during the night. They were swiftly taken to a nearby private clinic at Kacungiro trading center in the early hours and later transferred to Kagando hospital for specialized medical attention.
Mr. Sezi raised concerns that an unknown person might have poisoned the cassava flour that the family had used for their meal. He called on the community to remain vigilant, emphasizing that people’s safety is currently unpredictable.
We extend our condolences to the deceased and hope for a swift recovery for the afflicted children.
