The occurrence took place on Sunday while the mother, Ms. Anita Ayebare, was partaking in breakfast with her family, as indicated by Mr. Luke Owoyesigyire, the spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan Police.

According to Owoyesigyire’s statement released on Monday evening, the assailant, brandishing threats of violence, demanded the specified sum from Ms. Ayebare. Upon her refusal, the aggressor redirected their hostility towards her four children: Lucia Atuhaire, aged 2, Maria Zoe Ampaire, aged 5, Blair Musiime, aged 7, and Godius Ankunda, aged 14.

Thankfully, Owoyesigyire stated that local residents and law enforcement personnel at Mirimu swiftly intervened, rescuing the children despite the assailant having inflicted injuries upon them.

The deceased suspect’s body was transported to Mulago City Mortuary for postmortem examination, with investigations ongoing to determine his identity and motives.

Meanwhile, the injured children were rushed to Nalujja Medical Centre on Bata Bata, Entebbe Road, for urgent medical attention, with their condition remaining critical.
