Baluku Encourages Parents to Thoughtfully Influence Their Children’s Career Paths

On Friday, the Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku, Bishop of South Rwenzori Diocese, made a visit to Citizens Secondary School in Kinyamaseke Town Council. His purpose was to officiate the confirmation ceremony for 57 students who were embracing the Anglican faith.

During this momentous occasion, Bishop Baluku took the opportunity to underscore the vital role parents play in their children’s career decisions. He encouraged parents, regardless of their location, to actively participate in their children’s lives and engage in open discussions about their career aspirations.

The Bishop emphasized the importance of strategic planning in guiding young minds towards successful career paths, ensuring they can reap significant benefits in the future. He expressed concern about some parents who send their children to school without a clear vision of their future prospects, warning that such an approach could negatively impact the students’ academic performance and hinder their success in their chosen fields.

Additionally, the religious leader urged parents to wholeheartedly support their children’s educational pursuits. He emphasized that investing in their education and development would prevent future regrets and ensure that the children become dependable caregivers as their parents grow older.

Directly addressing the students, Bishop Baluku cautioned them against getting distracted from their academic pursuits by potentially harmful activities. He encouraged them to stay focused and dedicated to their studies to achieve their goals.

In response to the Bishop’s message, some students expressed deep gratitude for his timely advice. They considered his visit to their school a special occasion that left a positive impact on both their academic and spiritual journey.
