Five Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF) soldiers sustained injuries in an accident on the Kisoro-Rubuguri highway.

The Victims were en route to the Rubuguri playground for the belated women’s day celebrations in Kisoro district.

The accident happened at Kamenankuli near Rubuguri playground when a Uganda Prisons Service truck Registration Number UG 0144 U, carrying the soldiers, lost control and overturned multiple times.

Joshua Ainembabazi, an eyewitness told Examiner that the injured soldiers are currently receiving treatment at Rubuguri Health Center IV. By press time, our reporter couldn’t independently verify the specifics of the injured soldiers.
