A mass of prayer was held for the body of Justice Stella Arach-Amoko at the Diocese of Nebbi.
Thousands of people attended the funeral.
Justice Richard Butera and the principal judge, Flavian Zeijja, are among the top government officials who have already arrived.
The Mass was celebrated by Bishop Raphael Wokorach P’mony.
After the mass, Judge Stella Arach will be buried at her parents’ home in Juba’s Nebbi village.
