Police and authorities in Kampala have launched investigations into the tragic deaths of two individuals in Kawuuwa and Gganda Central, situated in Gganda village, Nansana municipality, Wakiso district.

In the latest development, the discovery of an unidentified man’s body in a trench on Thursday morning has further heightened concerns.

Eyewitnesses report the grim scene: a nude body lying beside a machete, suggesting a violent end.

Stuart Nsingwire, a local boda boda rider, stumbled upon the distressing sight while commuting to work.

The victim remains unidentified, prompting speculation among locals. Some speculate a crime of passion, alleging involvement with another’s spouse, while others attribute the incident to rampant theft in the area, especially under the cover of night’s heavy rainfall.

Christopher Muyimbwa, the local defense secretary, affirmed the victim’s unfamiliarity to the community and cautioned against vigilante justice.

Confirming the incident, Patrick Onyango, spokesperson for the Kampala Metropolitan Police, underscored the gravity of the situation. Nansana police station has initiated inquiries into the double homicide, which includes the gruesome discovery of a dismembered woman’s remains concealed behind a perimeter wall in the same vicinity.
