Six suspected notorious thieves have denounced business and made public apologies to the local residents of Kabatunda A cell in Kirabaho-Kabatunda town council in Kasese district, Kasese Guide Radio can reliably report.

In his testimony and apology to hundreds of community members yesterday, the prime suspected thief and team leader, R.P Michael Bwambale handed over the stolen property and instruments of witchcraft he alleged they applied to their victims during their illegal operations.

Whereas he said his life was under threat by his colleagues who had earlier on Wednesday night broken into his house targeting the property he intended to handover, Mr. Michael went on to list other suspected thieves as; Mukangu, Mbura Baluku, Fobiano Kyakwenda, Joward and Kenneth Baluku.

Ms Flazia Nyabi, who commended Mr. Michael for spearheading what she called a liberation move against robberies, could not hide her disbelief that her son he had paid for to senior six, had been diverted by drugs and turned into a notorious thief.

She thanked God for Mr. Michael who together with her son denounced stealing, pledging support to her reformed child.

The Chairperson for Kabatunda A cell in Kirabaho-Kabatunda town council, Mr. Sharifu Kitalibara called for neighborhood watch promotion among the locals he asked to collaborate against other suspects listed by the repentant.

The town council Chairperson, Mr. Dominic Nzirapande pledged support to the operation he described as a relief to the locals.
