Ms. Jane Kyomya Nyangoma, mother to RO/00163 George Mwesigwa aka Mutalamu and RO/00132 Capt. Peter Businge, passed away this Sunday morning in Hoima district at the age of 93.

Mr. Joseph Karugaba Isimbwa Apuuli, Chairperson for Kulima Kurungi Farmers under the Civilian War Veterans in Greater Hoima, emphasized to Kazi-njema News the significant contribution of the late Ndahura family during the bush war.

He underscores that the bush war gave rise to the National Resistance Movement (NRAM), which remains the longest-serving government since colonial rule.

Mr. Karugaba urged the government to consistently acknowledge families like the late Ndahuras until their burial.

Pte. Mwesigwa fell in combat, while his brother Cpt. Businge passed away in the 1990s, following the guerrilla warfare from 1981 to 1986 led by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

In 2010, President Museveni met with the family of Omucwezi Kyomya and constructed a home for them in Kigorobya town.

Nyangoma and her husband, Yakobo Rwakaikara Kyomya, entered into Holy Matrimony in Kigorobya, Hoima, in December 2017, drawing public attention at the time.

Omugurusi Kyomya, currently 98 years old, served as a sub-county chief in Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom.
