President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, unlike numerous Ugandans criticizing TV Personality Justine Nameere for marrying the much younger Kennedy Nsubuga, has given his blessing to the union.
Nameere shared the news of President Museveni’s approval on her Twitter handle on the evening of January 31, 2024, expressing her excitement. She disclosed that the Fountain of Honour bestowed their marriage with a generous gift of 10 healthy cows.
Sharing the joyous occasion, Nameere wrote, “My Best Friend and I got married. I thank Almighty God for the Blessings and Mercy. A big salute to the Commander In Chief, H.E President @KagutaMuseveni for honoring us with a gift of 10 cows.”
Furthermore, Nameere, who holds the position of Special Senior Presidential Advisor on Greater Masaka Region Affairs, revealed that the President was represented by the 3rd Deputy Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. Rukia Nakadama.
The wedding ceremony took place on January 30, 2024, at Masjid Salaf Mosque in Bombo, Kampala City. Nameere reportedly embraced Islam and adopted the name Jahan.
