Reflecting on their student movement days in the 1960s, President Museveni shared how their historical mission, adopted upon assuming government, prioritized the prosperity of Ugandans. He emphasized the need to address fundamental needs such as food security, adequate housing, healthcare, education, and market access to create prosperity.

President Museveni stressed the importance of transcending sectarian divides of religion and tribe in favor of emphasizing patriotism, which he described as loving one’s country. He highlighted the need to capitalize on African markets, advocating for Pan-Africanism as a key principle.

Furthermore, the President outlined the NRM’s principles of prosperity, emphasizing education, wealth creation, and strategic security. He emphasized the importance of cooperation on a Pan-African basis to address regional security challenges effectively.

AIGP Tom Magambo expressed gratitude to President Museveni for his guidance and outlined CID’s efforts to align with strategic priorities, including mindset change and strategic deployment of personnel. He detailed plans to enhance training and engagement with stakeholders to improve service delivery.

AIGP Godfrey Golooba highlighted efforts to improve training infrastructure, including plans to upgrade police training schools to meet evolving needs.
