Person found dead, hanged on tree in Kampala

The police in Kampala have initiated an investigation into the death of a man whose body was found hanging on a tree in Masiro Zone 3, Nakulabye parish in Lubaga division.

The incident was reported by concerned members of the public, particularly boda boda riders, who suspected it to be a case of murder by hanging. The man is believed to be in his early 30s, and his hands were tied together when he was found hanging on the tree.

Luke Owoyesigyire, the deputy police spokesperson, confirmed the incident and stated that the police, in collaboration with UPDF officers, immediately surrounded the scene. The investigation is still ongoing, and the police department is determined to find out the cause and circumstances surrounding the death of the man.

Owoyesigyire urged the public to remain calm and patient during the ongoing investigation and also requested anyone with useful information about the incident to come forward and assist the police with their investigations. The police will provide further details about the case as soon as they become available.
