Mitooma District | THE BLACKEXAMINER – Two parents are currently in police custody on charges of assaulting their daughter to death. This tragic incident took place on 27th July at 6 pm in Karehe 2 Kyanzire Parish, Kashenshero town council, as reported by Martial Tumusiime, the Greater Bushenyi Regional Police spokesperson.
The suspects involved in this case are identified as Herbert Twinamatsiko, a 33-year-old boda boda rider, and his wife Phiona Natukunda, aged 30. Both individuals are residents of Kyanzire village. The victim of this assault is identified as Whitney, their daughter.
According to reports, Twinamatsiko had fathered the deceased child outside wedlock, and she had been staying with her stepmother for some time. Tragically, on 27th July, the suspects severely tortured Whitney, leading to her untimely death. They then concealed the body in one of the rooms before leaving the scene. Later that night, they returned to the scene and transported the deceased to Rwenshama B for burial.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this distressing incident, and the suspects are being held pending further legal proceedings.
