Kampala, Uganda | THE BLACK EXAMINER | Police continue to detain four suspected terrorists while releasing two of the six individuals arrested last week in connection with an attempted bombing in Rubaga division.

Last week, six suspects, including a suicide bomber who tried to enter Miracle Centre Cathedral in Rubaga division, were apprehended for their alleged involvement in placing improvised explosive devices in Lungujja, Nateete, Kayanja zone, and Bunamwaya Ngobe.

Fred Enanga, the Police Spokesperson, has reported that two of the initially arrested individuals were released by the joint Anti-terrorism task force team after thorough investigation.

However, the remaining four suspects, including a woman caught attempting to sneak a bomb into Mabiito Business hub in Nateete, are still in custody. The investigation is also actively pursuing the identification of the primary financiers behind these detained suspected terrorists.

In addition, the police have warned the public against exploiting the existing terror threats to create fear among their business rivals. Enanga cited an incident where an individual placed a plastic bottle filled with water at the gate of Bweeya Junior School in Kajjansi with the intent of spreading fear within the school community.
