Kabale District | The Black Examiner – The territorial police in Kabale district is probing circumstances surrounding the death of a 45yrs old Edson Mpubaka who was alleged murdered by unknown assailants.
According to a police report, Mpambuka is a resident of Bushabira village, Kibuga sub county in Kabale district.
It’s alleged that at unknown time in the night of 02/09/2023, at Nyamitoma village, Kibuga subcounty Kabale district, with malice aforethought, unknown persons caused death of Mpubaka Edson.
It’s further alleged that on 2/09/2023 at about 1400hrs the deceased was seen fighting with one called Kahungu who were separated by the locals and later every body went home.
Apparently on Sunday at around 07:30hrs a man of unsound mind known as Kashaija resident of Nyamitoma village as he was heading to the centre came across the body of the deceased dumped near the house of Tumusiime Peace.
Subsequently,he went and called the Chairperson LCIII who also informed Police for further management.
ASP Elly Maate the Kigezi Sub region spokesperson revealed to our reporter that the Scene of crime was visited/examined by D/SP Mukama Hakim D/CID/O, and team,
Postmortem done .
Maate confirmed to our presser that no suspect has been arrested. He also highlighted that Community sensitization was conducted with local leaders .
The case file of deaths was registered at Kabale of CRB 683/2023 as inquiries are at hand.
