Two Senior Six Students Dead, 31 Injured in Soroti Bus Crash

Soroti District | THE BLACK EXAMINER | On Thursday, a tragic incident unfolded near Awoja Primary School in Soroti district, resulting in the loss of two lives and injuries to 31 others. The victims, senior six students, were en route to Jinja for a study tour aboard a bus with registration number UG 1915E, owned by Busitema University- Arapai Campus. The accident occurred when the bus collided with a stationary trailer, identified as UBL 709T/UQ781C, from behind.

John Robert Tukei, the acting East Kyoga Regional Police Spokesman, reported that the accident took place around 4:00 am. The injured students have been swiftly transported to Soroti Regional Referral Hospital. As of now, the police have not released the identities of the deceased and injured students.
