UPDF Medical Brigade Receives Double Cabins, Motorcycles Donation

The UPDF Medical Services Brigade was delighted to receive generous donations today. PEPFAR Uganda contributed a brand new Toyota Hilux Double Cabin, while the University Research (URC) donated three Yamaha Motorcycles.

Brig Gen Patrick Ocen, representing Maj Gen Ambrose Musinguzi, the Chief of Medical Services, graciously accepted the equipment. He extended heartfelt gratitude to both PEPFAR Uganda and the URC for their support, emphasizing that these donations would significantly enhance the medical services provided by the UPDF. The beneficiaries of this enhanced support would be both UPDF personnel and civilian communities.

Brig Gen Ocen also expressed his belief that these acts of kindness would foster a stronger relationship between the Chieftaincy of Medical Services and the two partners, particularly in their collaborative efforts to combat the spread of HIV/AIDS.

Dr. Fred Magala, the Director of PEPFAR program at Makerere University Walter Reed Project, reciprocated the sentiment. He praised the UPDF’s leadership for maintaining a positive and cooperative relationship with PEPFAR. Dr. Magala assured the UPDF that they could count on continued support and collaboration whenever they called upon PEPFAR’s assistance.
