Alpha Thierry Ssali secured the crucial goal as Express FC triumphed 1-0 over Solitilo Bright Stars at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.

The Red Eagles had opportunities for more goals, particularly during their dominant first-half performance.

Ssali’s early goal brought joy to the seven-time league champions and marked his first top-flight division goal since joining the Wankulukuku-based team from Proline.

Ssali’s goal served as inspiration for James Odoch’s coached side, leading them to their third consecutive victory, maintaining their unbeaten record this season.

With 10 points from four games, Express FC has now climbed to third place on the UPL standings.

Meanwhile, Bright Stars continues to struggle this season, with just two points from their first four games, leaving them in 13th place, just one point above the relegation zone.

Express FC’s next match is against UPDF FC on Friday, October 27th, while Bright Stars will host Vipers SC on the same day.
