Buhimba United Saints Unveils New Head Coach James Kamari for 2023-2024 Regional League Tournament

Kikuube, Uganda | The Black Examiner Buhimba United Saints, a prominent football club based in Kikuube, has recently announced the appointment of James Kamari as their new Head Coach for the upcoming 2023-2024 regional league tournament. The decision to bring in Kamari comes after the Saints’ triumphant season, which saw them clinch the championship title in the highly competitive Kitara region.

James Kamari, a CAF D level coach, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the team, making him eligible to lead a Uganda Premier League side. The unveiling ceremony took place in front of enthusiastic club fans and well-wishers who gathered to witness this significant development in the team’s coaching setup.

During the ceremony, Buhimba United Saints honored the players for their exceptional performance during the last season. The team presented medals and gifts as a token of appreciation for their dedication and hard work. Moreover, the victorious trophy was proudly displayed, symbolizing the club’s determination to maintain a winning mentality in the upcoming season.

Addressing the excited fans, Coach James Kamari emphasized the importance of unity and hard work among the players and staff. He expressed his commitment to building on the club’s success and nurturing a strong team spirit to achieve even greater heights in the future.

The Club President, Eng Julius Ahuura, took the opportunity to advocate for greater government support for sports, particularly in terms of talent development among the youth. He stressed that sports not only provide employment opportunities but also contribute significantly to the national revenue. Eng Ahuura urged local authorities to allocate sufficient budgets for sporting activities, particularly football, citing the potential economic benefits it brings to host communities through accommodation, sales, and increased tourism.

Looking forward to the upcoming season, Eng Ahuura pledged to compete with elite clubs in the transfer window. His goal is to bolster the squad by acquiring high-quality players who can help Buhimba United Saints secure a spot in the prestigious Uganda Premier League next season.

Meanwhile, in the FUFA drum competition, Tooro province secured a crucial victory against Buganda province, edging out their opponents by a solitary goal at Kavumba stadium. With this result, Tooro province currently leads Group D with 4 points, followed closely by Buganda province in the second position. Bunyoro province is placed third and will be hosting Buganda province in a must-win encounter at Kigaaya playground in Kikuube district in the next round of the FUFA drum competition.

As football enthusiasts eagerly anticipate the regional league tournament and the exciting FUFA drum clashes, Buhimba United Saints’ supporters are hopeful that the newly appointed Head Coach, James Kamari, will lead the team to another successful season and elevate the club to new heights in the world of Ugandan football.
