Masindi District | THE BLACK EXAMINER | Kitara delivered a stunning blow to KCCA, securing a fourth consecutive loss for them with a 3-1 triumph in Masindi. Kabon Living, Paul Mucureezi, and Dennis Omedi netted goals for Kitara, while João Gabriel’s late goal for KCCA was merely a consolation.

This marks the first time KCCA FC has suffered four consecutive losses in opening league fixtures, intensifying the pressure on KCCA coach Sergio Traguil. Despite KCCA FC’s early high-pressing game, they failed to produce any results. Carlos Gui had the opportunity to put the visitors in the lead from a Mustafa Kizza freekick, but he couldn’t convert it in the final third. Shortly after, Peter Magambo missed an open net opportunity.

Kitara capitalized on their attacks just before halftime when Kabon Living struck from a distance, eluding Juma Mutebi. In the second half, Kitara continued to dominate, with Paul Mucureezi doubling their lead through a freekick from the edge of the box.

KCCA FC made efforts to reverse the situation but couldn’t breach Kitara’s defense. Fresh from the national team, Dennis Omedi sealed Kitara’s impressive start in the Uganda Premier League with a strike from outside the box.

In the closing moments of the game, Brazilian forward João Gabriel curled in a freekick from the edge of the box after a foul on Hassan Mubiru.

Following their fourth consecutive loss, KCCA will be eager for their first league win when they face NEC FC at Lugogo. Meanwhile, joint log leaders Kitara FC will take on Wakiso Giants at the Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium.
