Riazat Ali Shah and Dinesh Nakrani are two notable aggressors with the bat, and the side also boasts U19 World Cup experience thanks to youngster Juma Miyaji, who played in the West Indies in 2022.

Although this is the first time that Uganda has participated in a Senior World Cup of any type, Uganda has been represented in a global event through the now defunct East African team that competed in the 1975 Cricket World Cup. Samuel Walusimbi was the only Ugandan player in the squad and played in three matches.

Uganda will start their T20 World Cup campaign on June 3 against Afghanistan in Guyana.
