KAMPALA, (Examiner) – Faridi Rashidi secured the lone goal, propelling his team (UPDF) to a 1-0 triumph over Wakiso Giants and securing their survival in the league.

Entering the match with a mere 24 points, UPDF FC desperately needed a win to stave off relegation. Rashidi seized his moment in the 59th minute, netting the decisive goal that ensured the Army men’s continued presence in the league.

With this vital victory, UPDF concluded the season in the 13th spot, amassing 27 points from 29 matches. Meanwhile, Busoga United and Gaddafi FC faced relegation after finishing 14th and 15th respectively, each with 25 points. They were joined by Arua Hill SC, who had already been relegated at the end of the first round due to failure to meet league requirements.

In the culmination of the season, SC Villa, the record champions, clinched the title for the 2023/24 season, topping the table with 57 points.
