Buhweju District | The Black Examiner – Police in Buhweju district, Uganda, have initiated a search for Bright Bagumaho, a resident of Nyamitooma cell in Katara parish, Karungu sub-county, Buhweju district. Bagumaho is alleged to have committed the murder of his wife.

The victim has been identified as Rose Berry Nalinda, a 22-year-old barmaid in Nyamitooma cell. She hailed from Rwensuri cell in Kashangura sub-county, Ibanda district.

Senior Superintendent Martial Tumusiime, the spokesperson for the Greater Bushenyi Police, disclosed that a few weeks prior to the incident, Bagumaho had suspected his wife of infidelity with other men at the bar where she worked. Tumusiime further stated that the suspect fatally stabbed his wife in the chest on Friday evening.

The lifeless body of the deceased has been transferred to Nsiika Health Centre mortuary for a postmortem examination. Law enforcement is currently making active efforts to apprehend the primary suspect.
