Kasese District | THE BLACK EXAMINER | Last night in Kasese town, an investigation has been initiated following an alleged attack on the ABSA Kasese branch Bank Manager by individuals affiliated with the “Gaza strip” in Kisanga A cell, Kasese Municipality.

SP Luke Mbusa, the Police spokesperson for Rwenzori East Region, confirmed the incident and assured that detailed information would be provided once investigations are concluded.

Upon reaching the crime scene, Mr. Jafali Kigutiha, the local council one chairperson for Basecamp lower cell in Kasese Municipality, identified the victim as Mr. Ezakiel Musungu. Musungu was reportedly ambushed by Gaza strip individuals who vandalized his vehicle, seized his smartphones, an undisclosed sum of money, and inflicted serious wounds.

Expressing disappointment, Kigutiha criticized foot patrol security personnel for firing at the vehicle despite Musungu identifying himself and seeking assistance. Kigutiha urged the DPC Kasese to re-arrest recently released Gaza criminals on police bond and ensure their prosecution in court.

A former politician turned human rights defender, Kigutiha characterized the attack on Musungu as profoundly shocking.
