The state minister for national guidance, Hon. Godfrey Baluku Kabyanga, has been requested by local officials in the Katwe-Kabatoro town council in the Kasese district to remind President Museveni of his campaign promise to tarmac the 38-kilometer Rwantare-Katojo road.

President Museveni made the promise in 2011, but it was in vain, according to Mr. John Bosco Kananura, Chairperson of Local Council Three of Katwe-Kabatoro Town Council.

The bad road system, according to Kananura, who defined his electorate as a tourism hub, limits the number of visitors.

The town clerk of Katwe-Kabatoro town council, Mr. Esau Murongo, informed Kabyanga that the Kiganda ward has never received monies under the parish development model.
Lt. Maate Magwara, the deputy RDC in charge of Bukonzo County, urged political leaders to inform the populace about the implementation of the parish development model program.

Hon. Kabyanga pledged to bring their complaints to the attention of the administration, but she also blamed the delays in part on budget cuts at the Ministry of Transportation and Works.

Hon.
Earlier, Kabyanga advised the people against diverting PDM monies.
