Absa Bank Uganda Launches Campaign to Promote Credit Card Benefits

KAMPALA, (Examiner) – Absa Bank Uganda is promoting its credit cards, which offer up to 50 interest-free days, through a new campaign called “Everybody Deserves a Bestie Kabisa.” This initiative highlights the convenience and flexibility of using Absa credit cards for various financial needs.

Musa Jallow, Retail and Business Banking Director at Absa Bank Uganda, noted, “Customers today seek convenience, modern lifestyles, holistic experiences, and value. The Absa credit card allows them to utilize their credit limits for goods, services, subscriptions, travel, and more, both in-store and online.”

He added that the credit cards offer flexible repayment plans at reduced interest rates, the ability to transfer funds to personal accounts and mobile wallets, and the option to send money instantly to any Visa cardholder worldwide using the Absa Card Send feature. Customers also benefit from up to 50 interest-free days.

Absa Platinum credit card holders enjoy additional perks such as Purchase Protection, reward miles for every shilling spent, and up to four supplementary cards for their loved ones.

Jallow emphasized that these offerings cater to the growing preference for digital payment systems, driven by the shift towards cashless transactions. “We have seen increased demand for these services, with Absa issuing over 70% of all credit cards in the market, translating to 92% of payment volume. These numbers reflect our commitment to innovation and providing high-quality, affordable banking services.”

He encouraged customers to sign up, assuring them of a quick and easy registration process. “We invite everyone to get an Absa credit card to enjoy favorable interest rates, flexible payment plans, and the convenience of digital banking through our internet and mobile platforms,” Jallow concluded.
