Sheema District | The Black Examiner – Farmers from 10 villages in Kyempitsi East, Kyempitsi West, Ryakasinga and Rwabuza wards, Shuuku Town council Sheema District are on the verge of losing their gardens after they were attacked by Lubber Grasshoppers.

According to residents, the lubber grasshoppers have destroyed Cassava, Bananas gardens, coffee plants and yams. They say the insect has become uncontrollable since it only destroys crops at night. They now want the government to provide them with pesticides to spray their gardens.
