Minister Rwamirama Urges Youth on Agriculture Investment

Bushenyi District | The Black Examiner – The State Minister for Animal Husbandry, Col. Bright Rwamirama has urged the youths to focus on long-term investments rather than running for short-term investments.

Minister Rwamirama said this yesterday while commissioning a Maize milling machine for youth under their company ‘Tans foods’ which was donated to them by NAADS through Bushenyi District local government at a function held in Rwentuha town council Bushenyi district.

The 200 million shillings Maize milling machine has the capacity to produce 25 tonnes of maize flour every day. He said that as the government, they are ready to support youth as long as they are organized.

Dr. Mugasi Samuel, the Executive director NAADS said that their focus as NAADS is to build capacity for value addition through distributing maize milling machines across the country. He argued the youth to get involved in agricultural value chains.

Alfred Ahumuza, team leader Tans foods hailed the government for providing them with machinery. He noted that as youth they started the initiative to add value to Maize.
