Uganda Waragi Brands Wins 25 Prestigious Accolades at Monde Selection 2023

Uganda Waragi, including its Premium, Pineapple, and Coconut variations, has achieved Gold Awards at the 2023 Monde Selection International Quality Awards for the second consecutive year. This accomplishment has elevated the brand’s total count to twenty-five prestigious accolades.

Monde Selection is a renowned Quality Institute known for its thorough evaluation of consumer products, utilizing unbiased judgments through collaboration with internationally recognized experts in various specialized fields.

Subject to scrutiny across 30 criteria, which include factors like visual appeal, aroma, taste, packaging, and more, the Uganda Waragi brands have consistently met the exacting standards set by Monde Selection.

Uganda Waragi Premium, produced by Uganda Breweries Limited, first secured a Gold Monde Selection Award in 2010, making it the sole Ugandan spirit to attain this esteemed recognition.

Shalom Kaite, UBL’s Quality Manager, expressed pride in the local and global recognition earned by Uganda Waragi, underscoring the product’s superior quality, derived from locally sourced ingredients and expert craftsmanship.

Hillary Baguma, UBL’s Brand Manager Mainstream Spirits, emphasized the brand’s unwavering commitment to excellence and attributed the victory to meticulous efforts in creating and promoting this exceptional product, symbolizing the true essence of Uganda.

Alongside Uganda Waragi’s success, Uganda Breweries Limited received the International High-Quality Trophy in both 2020 and 2023, marking three consecutive years of top-tier quality, and earning grand gold and gold awards.

This year, Bell Lager, Tusker Lite, and Pilsner Lager were also honored with Silver Quality Awards, underscoring Uganda Breweries Limited’s dedication to celebrating excellence while contributing to the socioeconomic development of local communities through the use of locally sourced materials.
