UPPC Hosts Inaugural Stakeholder Engagement Day to Boost Customer Satisfaction

The Uganda Printing and Publishing Corporation (UPPC) celebrated its first-ever Stakeholder Engagement Day at Hotel Africana, with the theme “Enhancing Customer Loyalty Through Excellent Service Delivery.” The event aimed to gather valuable feedback and showcase the corporation’s diverse range of products, services, and latest innovations.

The event was honored by the presence of the Chief Guest, Hon. Robinah Nabbanja, Prime Minister of the Republic of Uganda, along with Hon. Milly Babalanda, Minister for Presidency. Key stakeholders from Ministries, Departments, Agencies (MDAs), and the private sector were also in attendance.

The Stakeholder Day highlighted UPPC’s dedication to quality service and customer satisfaction. By directly interacting with stakeholders, UPPC aims to enhance service delivery efficiency and tailor its offerings more precisely and innovatively, ensuring that they exceed expectations.

Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja emphasized the importance of customer-centric service delivery, stating, “In today’s competitive market, open dialogues among stakeholders are crucial. UPPC’s commitment to understanding and meeting customer needs sets a benchmark for excellence in our public services.” She also highlighted UPPC’s role in advancing Uganda’s Vision 2040 objectives by creating jobs along the value chains of production, processing, and marketing.

Hon. Milly Babalanda commended UPPC’s recent ICT innovations in line with Uganda’s digital transformation roadmap, praising the strategic plan to digitize 80% of the corporation’s services by 2026. She also noted the corporation’s recapitalization efforts, including the acquisition of state-of-the-art technology to enhance production capacity and reduce turnaround times.

The Prime Minister was thrilled to launch UPPC’s latest innovations, including:

  1. The GovInfo Hub: A digital, user-friendly platform designed to bridge the information gap between the Government and the public.

UPPC also announced a strategic partnership with the Uganda Chapter for Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives (UCCSRI), highlighting the corporation’s commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices and sustainability. This collaboration aims to advance sustainable business practices, promote environmental stewardship, and champion social responsibility within the printing and publishing industry.

By working closely with UCCSRI, UPPC plans to implement initiatives that drive positive change, enhance operational efficiency, and foster a culture of sustainability.
