A statement from the office of Uganda’s ambassador to Ankara confirmed the demise of the tycoon at Medipol Hospital in Istanbul.
The statement indicated that the body of the deceased departed from Turkiye aboard Turkish Airlines on Thursday, December 7, 2023, evening and arrived at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda at 5.00 am on Friday. The body was received by Karamoja affairs ministry Mary Goretti Kitutu in the company of friends and family.

Janazzah Prayer will be held at 10:00 am today at the Gaddafi Mosque in Old Kampala and the body will be flown to Arua City with another Janaza Prayer slated for 2:00 pm at Arua Primary School playgrounds after Juma Prayers before the body leaves for burial in his Ancestral Eradiru Village, Rigbo Sub-county in Rhino Camp sub-county, Madi Okollo district.
