Summary:

  • Janet Museveni, the Minister of Education and Sports and Uganda’s First Lady, will announce the 2023 UACE results, the final national exams after PLE and UCE. Over 110,000 candidates sat for the exams, with those achieving at least two principal passes qualifying for higher education.

The Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Museveni, who also holds the position of First Lady, is slated to unveil the 2023 UACE results. These results mark the conclusion of the national exam cycle by UNEB, following the Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) and the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results, which were released earlier in the month.

Official statistics from UNEB reveal that 110,569 candidates registered for the 2023 UACE exams, with 43 percent (47,227) being female and 57 percent (63,342) male.

Candidates who achieve a minimum of two principal passes in the 2023 UACE Results will qualify for admission to universities and other tertiary institutions. Those who fall short of this benchmark will be advised to either retake A-level exams or utilize their UCE results for post-secondary education.

Prospective higher education entrants are expected to commence their academic journeys in May and August for the new academic year 2024/23.

The 2023 UACE exams, the ultimate phase of national examinations, took place from November 10 to December 1, 2023.

Notably, preceding the release of the 2023 UACE results, the 2023 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results were disclosed on Thursday, February 15, at State House in Nakasero, Kampala.
