By Kampala, Uganda | THE BLACK EXAMINER | Buganda Kingdom has presented a check of Shs 20 million to the Busoga Kingdom in support of the preparations for the upcoming royal wedding of Kyabazinga William Gabula Nadiope IV and Her Royal Highness Jovia Mutesi.
The Katikiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga, officially handed over the check to the Katukiro of Busoga, Dr. Joseph Muvawala, at Bulange Mengo. This gesture represents Buganda’s blessings and well-wishes for Busoga as they welcome Inebantu Jovia Mutesi, who will play a vital role in assisting the Kyabazinga in fulfilling his responsibilities.
During the exchange, the Katikiro of Buganda reaffirmed Buganda Kingdom’s commitment to maintaining the strong and longstanding working relationship with the Busoga Kingdom.
In response, the Katukiro of Busoga, Dr. Joseph Muvawala, expressed gratitude for the financial support and extended his thanks to Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II of Buganda for his continuous guidance and wisdom. He also took the opportunity to extend a formal invitation to the Kabaka of Buganda to attend the Kyabazinga’s wedding, scheduled for November 18, 2023, at Christ’s Cathedral Bugembe in Jinja City.
