Nile Breweries Injects Shs450m in Kyabazinga Royal Wedding

Jinja, Uganda | THE BLACK EXAMINER | Nile Breweries Limited has significantly boosted preparations for the upcoming Kyabazinga Royal Wedding by contributing a generous sponsorship package of Shs450 million, as per information obtained by DailyExpress.

The highly anticipated royal wedding of Isebantu H/W William Wilberforce Gabula Nadiope IV and the Inhebantu of Busoga, Her Highness Jovia Mutesi, is scheduled for November 18 at Bugembe Cathedral in Jinja City.

Njuki Emmanuel, the Head of Legal and Corporate Affairs at Nile Breweries Ltd, announced this Shs450 million sponsorship package during an event held on Friday, October 20, at the Kingdom headquarters in Bugembe, Jinja City.

While presenting the Shs450 million check to Busoga Prime Minister, Mr. Joseph Muvawala, Mr. Njuki explained that the package includes both cash and in-kind contributions. He outlined that the media partnership would involve advertising wedding preparations on billboards and radio promotions. Additionally, each of the twelve celebration venues would be equipped with a special bar stocked with Nile Breweries’ beer brands for the public to enjoy.

Mr. Njuki emphasized the historical connection between Nile Breweries and Busoga Kingdom, mentioning the use of water from the Source of the River Nile in beer production. He noted that this contribution serves to strengthen their relationship.

Mr. Muvawala praised the unity within Busoga that attracts companies like Nile Breweries to associate with significant events, encouraging Kyabazinga subjects to maintain their positive image to further attract support for the Kingdom.

The Chairperson of the Kyabazinga Royal Wedding organizing committee, Mr. Patrick Batumbya, reported that the cash collection is proceeding well and has received a positive response from the public.

Ms. Justine Kasule Lumumba, the committee’s head of media and entertainment, expressed gratitude to the media for their positive coverage of the wedding.

Mr. David Igulu Isabirye, the clan heads Spokesperson, explained that the contribution from Nile Breweries is part of their “parental support to the Kyabazinga,” emphasizing the role of clan members in supporting their royal chiefs.

Prominent figures attending the event included Rt. Hon Justine Kasule Lumumba, the Minister for General Duties in the Office of the Prime Minister, who also heads the Media and Entertainment committee on the Kyabazinga Royal Wedding Central organizing committee. Other attendees were Eng. Patrick Batumbya, the chairperson of the Kyabazinga Royal Wedding Central organizing committee, and various Busoga Kingdom Ministers.
