Furthermore, four individuals, namely Mushabe Jolly, Atuhaire, Abasi Edgar, and Natamba Simon, sustained injuries in the accident. The collision involved two vehicles: a Toyota Fielder (UBK 919X) driven by Kakooza Kasim and a Mitsubishi Canter pickup (UAJ 337R) driven by Ssemboze George. The incident occurred at around 07:00 AM at Kinaaku-Kyenkokora along the Mbarara-Kasese Highway. Kasim, attempting to avoid stagnant water, swerved into the path of Ssemboze George’s oncoming vehicle.
The bodies of the deceased have been transported to Kabwohe Health Center IV mortuary for postmortem examinations, while the injured have been taken to the same facility for treatment.
Both vehicles involved in the accident await inspection at the Sheema police yard, according to the Greater Bushenyi Police spokesperson, Martial Tumusiime. The scene has been thoroughly investigated by ASP Mugisha Canicius and the traffic team.
