Airtel Uganda Donates 265 Million Shillings to Busoga Royal Wedding

Kampala, Uganda | THE BLACK EXAMINER | Airtel Uganda has made a significant contribution of 265 million shillings towards the upcoming Busoga Royal wedding scheduled for November 18, 2023.

The announcement was made by Japheth Aritho, the Managing Director of Airtel Mobile Money Commerce, during a press conference held in Kampala yesterday.

Aritho expressed the company’s delight in joining thousands of Ugandans in supporting the momentous occasion as the Busoga Kingdom welcomes its new matriarch. He emphasized that this is a valuable opportunity to strengthen the bond between Airtel and the Busoga Kingdom.

He further explained that out of the 265 million shillings, 40 million will be provided in cash, with the remainder being contributed in-kind to support various aspects of the wedding and enhance its vibrancy.

The Katukiro of Busoga, Joseph Muvawala, gratefully accepted Airtel’s donation and extended his appreciation for their support during this historic moment for the Busoga Kingdom.
