 Details

A dispute has unfolded in Bugoye subcounty, Kasese, revolving around the final resting place for the late Saulo Muhima, a 42-year-old UPDF officer lost his life in a recent accident.

Independent sources have revealed that this disagreement has triggered a pronounced division within the family, pitting those who back the widow’s choice of burial site against others who align with the deceased’s mother.

Mr. James Katalikawa, the chairperson of the local council three in the area, has corroborated these developments. Despite the fact that the body of the late officer have not yet been transported, it has come to light that two graves have been prepared – one in the Murambi village and the other in Kisanga village.

The primary point of contention stems from the divergent preferences regarding the burial location. The widow is advocating for her husband to be interred at his former residence, whereas a group led by the late officer’s mother is advocating for an alternative burial site.

Expressing his dismay, Mr. Katalikawa has commented on the situation, highlighting the surprising intensity of emotion surrounding the deceased. He has urged families to engage in open dialogues and discussions before arriving at decisions, as this could mitigate potential conflicts and negative portrayals.
