The Shs700 million saga surrounding Hon. Emma Cherukut has taken a new twist with her colleague alleging the Kween Woman MP disclosed to him that she lost the money to a money lender.
Hon. Twalla Fadil of Tingey County told Elgon Radio that Hon. Emma disclosed to him about the transaction.
Hon. Emma has been off the public eye with others, alleging she was mentally stressed, but she recently came out and said she was fine and had never been conned of any money.
Hours later, a prominent businessman, popularly known as Chelogoi Motors, distanced himself from the propaganda of being targeted.
He, however, disclosed that he made a transaction with the MP.
“good morning friends and the media fraternity,i have learnt of “malicious information and propaganda circulating around with several allegations against my personality.
I want to categorically state that the information being peddled is not true ,full of falsehood, malice, propaganda and black mail,my transaction with hon emma has nothing to do with alteration or Change or addition of figures and sorts.
Am yet to see the falsified document neither have i been summoned by any police or any court over the same.
It’s also not true that i sponsored opera news to write about the hon emma on dealings with gold and black dollar saga i wonder who runs opera media house because i have no connection with them.
I have not heard this from hon emma herself apart from the media.”Despite my transaction with her, Hon has been quiet and unreachable for some time,” Chelogoi Motors said in a WhatsApp message.
However Hon. Cherukut Emma on a WhatsApp message also refuted the allegations that she was conned by Hon. Twalla Fadil. Efforts by Elgon Radio Kapchorwa to reach out to her were futile as her known numbers were off.
