Mbale City Recieves New DPCs

Mbale City | THE BLACK EXAMINER | Mbale City has welcomed new District Police Commanders (DPCs) following the recent reassignment of their predecessors. SP Rogers Taitika, the Public Relations Officer for the Elgon Region Police, shared this information with the media during a press briefing held at his office on Tuesday, September 12th, 2023. He revealed that these positions had remained vacant for a week following the transfers of the former officers to different postings.

According to Taitika, SP Kenneth Bakashaba has been appointed as the new DPC for Mbale Central Police Station, succeeding SP Abed Samuel. Additionally, SP Steven Kamar now leads the Industrial City Central Police Station, taking over from Denis Pahani. Lastly, SP Conrad Byamugisha has taken charge at the Northern City Division Central Police Station, replacing John Byamugisha.

Taitika emphasized that these transfers are standard procedure within the police force and encouraged the local community to collaborate with the new DPCs to enhance security in their respective areas. He specifically highlighted Northern City Division as a region grappling with high incidents of rape, murder, and drug abuse. He called upon local leaders to join forces with the new DPC to combat these pressing issues effectively.
