Kisoro District | THE BLACK EXAMINER | Police in Kisoro District have arrested four individuals in connection to the Murder case involving a 48-year-old Naomi Nyirambonigaba, a resident of Kagano Cell in Kanaba Sub County over alleged witchcraft.

Elly Maate, the spokesperson for the Kigezi region police, revealed that the victim was subjected to assault during the burial of Jonas from Gisasa village in Kanaba Sub County. Mourners suspected Nyirambonigaba of having knowledge related to the death of Jonas. The incident occurred yesterday at approximately 2:30 PM.

Maate explained that a murder case file was initiated, prompting the dispatch of a team of homicide detectives along with SOCO Kisoro to the crime scene. Their objective was to assess, analyze, and document the situation. Furthermore, statements from relevant witnesses were collected, and the deceased’s body was transported to Kisoro hospital mortuary for postmortem examination.

To aid in the ongoing investigations, four suspects, whose identities are currently withheld, were taken into custody by the police. They will be assisting law enforcement in unraveling the details surrounding the alleged crime.
