President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, also serving as the Commander-in-Chief of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), oversaw the graduation of 45 Air Force Defence trainees at Kalangalo Marine Training School in Kasanje sub-county, Wakiso District.

During his address, Gen. Museveni extended congratulations to the Air Force Defence officers for the successful completion of their training. He commended their remarkable demonstrations, expressing gratitude to the trainees.

Additionally, President Museveni made a brief stop in Kasanje to engage with the local community, assuring them of the government’s commitment to constructing the Kasanje main road. He stated, “I greet all the residents of Kasanje, and I want to assure you that this road will undergo improvements. I will engage with the Ministry of Works to initiate the necessary preparations.”

During another stopover in Nakawuka village, President Museveni acknowledged the poor condition of the road and promised to personally address the issue with the local Member of Parliament to ensure a resolution.

Notable figures present at the pass-out ceremony included the Minister of State for Defence, Hon. Jacob Oboth Oboth, the Deputy Chief of Defense Forces, Lt. Gen. Peter Elwelu, and the Senior Presidential Advisor on Defence and Security, Lt. Gen. (Rtd) Proscovia Nalweyiso, among others.
