Just days ago, Bobi Wine made headlines by dropping Mathia Mpuuga from his position as the deputy president of the Central region and removing him from his role as Leader of the Opposition in parliament. The move came as Bobi Wine accused Mpuuga of corruption, alleging that he had received a substantial sum of 500 million from authorities, which he labeled as “corrupt money.”

“Bobi Wine’s decision to remove Mpuuga from his positions has polarized the party,” party insider told this publication.

However, Mpuuga’s defenders argue that the funds in question were legally disbursed to him as a gratuity service award in accordance with parliamentary procedures.
