Four people believed to be believers of the Faith Of Unity have died on spot following a nasty road accident which happened at Isunga Trading Centre in Isuunga Sub County Kagadi district along Kagadi -Kibaale Highway.
The deceased have only been identified as Tumuramye 16 and Twikirize 10 who were coming from Kakindo Bugangaizi Bukwenda in Kakumiro district heading to Kapyemi headquarters for the celebrations to mark the 94th Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka’s birthday slated for 11th June, 2023 on Sunday.
Two people whose identities were not captured by press time also perished as they were being rushed to Kagadi hospital.
The deceased were travelling in a vehicle Fuso Reg. No UBF 967C when they reached Isunga Trading Centre, the driver who is still at large failed to negotiate a corner at Isunga Round about causing the truck to overturn several times killing 4 people.
Speaking to Godfrey Kitone the Local Council 3 chairperson Isunga Sub County, he attributed the cause of accident to the poor mechanical condition of the vehicle and overloading hence challenging drivers to always check the mechanical conditions of their vehicles before setting off for a journey.
By press time Kagadi police had reached the scene and efforts to get a comment from the law enforcement body were futile since they were still doing investigations on the matter.
