President Museveni has vowed to unveil the true intentions of the opposition in Uganda over time, alleging their efforts to tarnish the nation’s image to Europeans and steer it towards subservience.

“We in the security system know them and at the right time, we are going to expose them,” stated Museveni, accompanied by the First Lady, Janet Museveni, during the 38th NRM victory anniversary celebrations at St. John SSS Wakitaka Playgrounds in Jinja Northern Division.

The event, held under the theme “Building a Country We All Cherish,” marks the day when the NRA/M government took power after a prolonged struggle led by committed Ugandan citizens.

At the gathering, Moses Ssimbwa, who claimed to be an activist from the National Unity Platform, confessed to being manipulated by the opposition into fabricating torture accusations against the government. He alleged that promises of medical treatment led him to falsely incriminate Ugandan security agencies.

Responding to these claims, President Museveni accused the opposition of seeking foreign collaboration to pressure Uganda, emphasizing their failure to comprehend the strength of the NRM.

He urged the people of Busoga to join him in safeguarding the Universal Primary Education program against those undermining it. Museveni recounted concerns about school fees hindering children’s education and pledged to address the issue in the upcoming Financial Year.

Regarding missing drugs in government health facilities, Museveni assured the people of Busoga of corrective measures and emphasized the role of the army in maintaining peace.

Highlighting the potential of commercial agriculture to create jobs, Museveni encouraged the adoption of successful agricultural practices and pledged to prioritize road improvements in the subregion.

He expressed gratitude to the people of Busoga for their support and commended Natasha Museveni Karugire for documenting the contributions of liberation movement participants.
