Police Probe Unidentified Man Found Dead in River Rwabakazi

Kabale District | THE BLACK EXAMINER | Police in Kabale district are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of an unidentified adult male whose body was discovered floating in the waters of River Rwabakazi.

According to Asp Elly Maate, the Kigezi region police spokesperson, the grim discovery was occurred in the morning of November 4, 2023 when un identified body was spotted floating in the waters of River Rwabakazi, and authorities promptly notified the Kyanamira police.

Maate explained that a team from Kabale Central Police Station (CPS), led by Deputy Inspector Magara Richard, arrived at the crime scene and they successfully retrieved the body from the water and subsequently transported it to the mortuary at Kabale Regional Referral Hospital for a postmortem examination.

Furthermore, Maate urged the general public to visit the hospital mortuary if they have any missing loved for proper identification and to facilitate the necessary arrangements for a dignified burial.

The case has been officially registered at Kabale CPS under reference number CRB: 845/2023.
