Kasese District | THE BLACK EXAMINER | The Rwenzururu King, His Majesty Charles Wisley Mumbere, has urged the government to initiate plans for constructing secure roads in the mountainous regions of Kasese District. He highlighted that such roads would enhance local transportation of produce, boost tourism, and improve overall security.

Speaking to a gathering at Kisinga playground in Kisinga town council, the King called on political leaders to support his efforts in advocating for government support in establishing security roads and an aerodrome. Kasese District boss, Mr. Erifaz Muhindi, mentioned that the government is already constructing roads across the district and assured that the King’s request for additional roads in mountainous areas will be taken into consideration.

During a visit to the Agrievolve coffee factory in Kisinga town council, the King encouraged the local community to participate in the project by cultivating more coffee and selling it to the factory, which offers premium prices to farmers. Impressed by the significant investment, the King emphasized community involvement in the initiative.

Mr. Jonny Rowland, the Executive Director of Agrievolve, disclosed that the company currently purchases approximately sixty thousand tons of coffee. He advised farmers to harvest red cherries to maintain quality standards.
