Kampala, Uganda | THE BLACK EXAMINER | Uganda is set to host its first-ever Investor’s conference, known as the Presidential Investor’s Conference, with the goal of addressing challenges faced by investors in the country.

Scheduled for November 29, 2023, at Kololo Independence Ground, the conference has President Museveni as the chief guest. According to Minister for Investment and Privatization, Evelyn Anite, over 5000 participants and 8000 registered companies are expected to attend.

Anite emphasized that as major job creators, the president aims to hear directly from investors about the challenges they encounter, enabling the government to create a more favorable working environment. The conference is anticipated to attract investors from various sectors, including commercial agriculture, ICT, and value addition, particularly appealing to the younger, educated demographic.

Anite encouraged investors to actively participate and report any instances of corruption within government agencies and individuals, emphasizing the detrimental impact such corruption has on their work in Uganda.
